Killjoy Box Set

Clown Slaughter Fun!
Another Full Moon (formerly Empire) film. The creators of such films as Puppet Master, Sub-Species, Blood Dolls, Hideous, Trancers, and more recent films such as Evil Bong, Ooga Booga, and Gingerdead Man. If you are familiar with ANY of these films you have an idea of what you're getting yourself into with these films. I'll give each film its own review hopefully I can convince you to think a bit more highly of this simple and fun new series than the other reviewer.

Killjoy: The first in the series and the 2nd best of the box set (in my opinion at least). A lonely nerd really wants to hook up with this one chick who's dating a total jerk-off wannabe-gangsta. After our nerdy friend is found hitting on the girl of his dreams again gangsta man and his crew of trashy comrades pop out and bully him. A slight dissapointment.
The Killjoy movies have a simple but fun premise. A killer clown on the loose. If the creators had chosen to have more fun with the premise this could have been a fun horror movie. However, they chose to take it seriously. With really cheap special effects, and no clear idea on the rules or mythology of the vilian. The first two movies come out as slightly disordered messes. Killjoy 2 was slightly better than the first one, but still made little sense. The fun in these movies begins with the third one. For those who are interested in the character of Killjoy I'd start with number three and forget the first two altogether.
